So - as you know - Evelyn turned 1 a little over a week ago. The day came and went - and I really didn't think too much. People said, 'Can you believe she is a year old already?' and I thought, 'Ya - I can believe it - still the same old Evelyn'. But for some reason it didn't hit me that she really is growing up.
BUT - Since her birthday she is literally maturing before my eyes. She plays on her own while I am in the kitchen instead of standing at the gate, she can eat an entire rice cake and follow it up with a container of yogurt and THEN still have room for cheerios, and then this morning the daycare told me we don't need to bring bottles anymore. NO BOTTLES! Well however will she be nourished??? Oh ya - she eats big girl food and drinks from a sippy cup. I just can't believe it. I can't fathom that my baby will one day not be a 'baby'. Until then I will continue to work on my anti-aging serum and pray that I will truly stop and enjoy each and every stage and moment and quirk as my little girl continues to grow up.
