We made a fort. Evelyn immediately assumed that this fort was for sleeping and ran to grab her blanket and Hank (fav. stuffed giraffe). She cuddled up for a while - and then realized it wasn't quite nap time. We tickled and giggled and spent most of the time doing each others hair. Evelyn doing my hair consists of her gently setting ponytail holders on my head! Oh and we also did Daddy and Gunner's hair!
We also made hot chocolate. Evelyn did not get any - but did get a mug just like Mommy and Daddy's with just the tiniest bit of water. Well she started out with more than a tiny bit....and after we changed her wet clothes we more closely monitored the amount of water in her mug!
On day #2 of being snowed in we decided to venture out. Between Mommy and Evelyn we had 4 pairs of pants, 7 shirts, and 4 pairs of socks! It took about 15 minutes to get ready (7 of those minutes spent getting Evelyn's shoes to go over 2 pair of socks) and we stayed outside for no more than 90 seconds! Luckily Daddy was there to capture the moment! Even though Evelyn doesn't like to be in the snow - she definitely likes to SAY the word snow! The moment we walk out the door or look out the window she says snow! snow! snow!
Evelyn also discovered pockets and thought it was just too cool to use the pockets in her pants and coat!
